Company History

Celplast Limited began as a film trading company in 1976. The two principles are Chuck Larsen, President and founder, and Bill Hellings, Vice-President, both former Celanese employees. In the early 80’s they developed a relationship with a US-based film producer and began distributing these films. Chuck and Bill are still active in the day to day business operations of Celplast Metallized Products.

Since that time, Celplast Packaging Systems has grown and evolved to have staff across the country supporting many manufacturers, we are currently proud distributors of many companies products in Canada.

Celplast Packaging Systems Limited has a long history of customer service. Celplast initially grew as the film distributor of choice to some of the major players in Canada. Our growth over the next decade was even more remarkable, as we took this technology base and expanded it to grow into other markets including flowrapping, BOPP films, MAP tray sealers, lidding films and trys to name a few. 

Now, as we enter the second decade of the 21st Century  we begin the transition to meet new challenges and changes in the industry with a continues focus on providing the highest possible level of service, quality and produc innovations in our industry.
